Downtown Parking The Asheville City government has generously provided free public parking after 5:00 p. Pack Square Park visitors on Marjorie Street, adjacent to Pack’s Tavern. College Street County Deck on college street, a deck at the AC Marriot hotel, and parking at the Hilton Garden Inn deck all only a block or two from Pack’s Tavern. We cook, we clean, you enjoy! Pack’s has multiple dining spaces and ways to enjoy! Enjoyed dinner and fantastic local beers on their scenic patio.

I was very impressed with how clearly they communicate their COVID restrictions and safety protocols- they even have a host at the door making sure that each guest is aware of their safety measures and mask policy. Food was hearty, delicious and affordable. Going out to dinner in Asheville with so many good choices we decided on Packs Tavern the menu was appealing and atmosphere was Covid conscious the meal was tremendous as well as the drinks the service was on par with the meal. This is someplace I wish I could have visited and ate there every day until I went through the entire menu. Good service fun ambiance and great food. I love their strawberry salad and their burger is also very good.

We have been here before on our last visit to Asheville and again during COVID pandemic and they were all very careful and I felt completely comfortable with how they were handling things. This place is one of our favorites here! 2 star restaurant is what you experience at Pack’s Tavern! Located literally at the bottom of Pack Square, this place I’ve thought for years looked too polished. Upon walking in you can’t help but notice the beautiful huge bar! Very eclectic looking, very woodsy, but gorgeous in its own way! The menu is very diverse with the ever popular Asheville farm to table items, but there’s also pub food that you’d expect to find in a tavern!

I had the hardest time choosing but eventually went with the BBQ Brisket MAC! Outstanding is an understatement as the brisket was tender and a slight sweetness from the sauce and smoking process. The Mac was cheesy without having too much cheese which typically causes you to fight the cheese strings with each bite! My apologies to Pack’s Tavern for putting you in the Hard Rock Cafe category for all these years! We came across Pack’s while visiting Asheville and I am so glad that we did! The atmosphere is great and the food was delicious.
